Unlike the infant
which is defined by the soft
and warm embrace of its mother,
the oyster’s fragile soul
is molded within a frigid
casing of hardness.
Thus, the organism of the same name,
lives unnaturally-
and perishes theoretically,
in a place mentally placeless,
closed hermetically within itself.
